  • Attack on Pearl Harbor [7 Dec 1941]
  • Jul ~ Nov 1943 - Repair and AA guns refit
  • After the Battle of Leyte Gulf (24~25 Oct 1944), Shiranui  was sunk on 27 Oct 1944 by dive-bombers from USS Enterprise, while searching for the missing cruiser Kinu &  destroyer Uranami,
秋雲 (Akigumo)
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor [7 Dec 1941]
  • After the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands,  Akigumo & Makigumo sank the heavily damaged and abandoned USS Hornet on 27 Oct 1942
  • 1943/44 - Radar & AA guns refit
  • 11 Apr 1944 - Akigumo was torpedoed and sunk by the submarine USS Redfin
