I-36 & I-37 - carried four~six Kaiten manned torpedoes (回天) in 1944. *removed 14 cm/40 11th Year Type naval gun (40口径14cm単装砲)
During the Guadalcanal Campaign, I-19 sank aircraft carrier USS Wasp with torpedo on 15 September 1942, & destroyer USS O'Brien (sank on 19 October 1942) and damaged battleship USS North Carolina.
I-19 was sunk on on 25 November 1943 by USS Radford with depth charges.
