					| Vought SB2U Vindicator World War Two
U.S. dive bomberthe first monoplane dive bomber developed in the 1930s. Vindicators still remained in service at the time of the Battle of Midway.All had been withdrawn to training units by 1943.known as V-156-B1 Chesapeake in Royal Navy service.
VMSB-131 & VMSB-241 were the only two U.S. Marine Corps squadrons equipping with  SB2U-3 between March 1941 and September 1943.
Battle of Midway (5 June 1942) - Captain Richard E. Fleming struck Japanese cruiser Mikuma (三隈) with SB2U-3's bomb, and then crashed his aircraft onto the ship, for which he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
