In July 2018, a rebadged version of the Toyota JPN Taxi debuted in Hong Kong under the Comfort Hybrid (Chinese: 豐田金豐混能的士) (sales commencing in January 2019). "LPG hybrid system" based on the existing THS II, made compatible with LPG fuel through the use of the 1.5L 1NZ-FXP LPG engine. 17 Comfort Hybrids are in service in May 2019 and are due to replace the current fleet of LPG-only Crown Comforts
