Panther II - a tank-design proposal, was based on the design of the Panther tank. It had slightly thicker armour than the Panther and adopted some standardised components from Tiger II (King Tiger) tank design. it continued to use Panther's 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun. One prototype was completed and captured by US forces.
