MB-339A - original production variant for Italy. 107 were built. (four delivered to Ghana and five to UAE.). Argentine Naval Aviation bought 10 MB-339A and used in the Falklands War in 1982.
MB-339 PAN - for Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, adding smoke generator but removing wing-tip fuel tanks; 21 newly built or converted from MB-339A.
