  • on 14 May 1944, Hibiki rescued the 125 survivors of her torpedoed sister ship Inazuma (電)
  • Battle of the Philippine Sea [19~20 Jun 1944]
  • Aug 1944, Hibiki was torpedoed by submarine USS Hake --> repair at Yokosuka
  • 1945 Hibiki retained in Japanese home waters
Hibiki was turned over to the Soviet Union on 5 April 1947 as a prize of war, And was sunk in 1970s as target-practice.
