  • converted from passenger liner Kashiwara Maru (橿原丸)
  • commissioned on 3 May 1942
  • Aleutian Islands Campaign (3 June 1942 ~ 15 August 1943)
  • Guadalcanal Campaign (7 August 1942 ~ 9 February 1943)
  • November 1943 - Jun'yō was torpedoed.
  • November 1943 ~ February 1944 - under repair.
  • Battle of the Philippine Sea (mid-1944) - Jun'yō was damaged by several bombs
  • Late 1944 -  Jun'yō was used as a transport
  • December 1944 - Jun'yō was torpedoed again
  • anchored in Japan till the end of World War Two
  • Jun'yō was scrapped in 1946~1947.
